Coming from the Southern Highlands of Tanzania, this coffee was produced by Mandomashe, a group of over 300 farmers from four different producing villages (Mandenga, Ndola, Mafumbo, and Sheya). A majority of Tanzanian coffee farmers grow small lots on less than 5 acres of land.
Cherries from various producers were hand-picked and processed at a washing station located in the Mafumbo village of Tanzania's Mbozi district. They are pulped within 8 hours of being picked and put into water tanks for a 12 hour fermentation. Once washed, all seeds are graded and sorted before drying on raised beds.
