Sumatra is known for producing earthy, full-bodied coffees that hold up beautifully to darker roasts, and this one is no exception. This is our darkest roast, which we bring to the verge of second crack while still maintaining the origin characteristic.
It carries all the bold, earthy richness you expect from a classic Sumatran, with a heavy body and flavor notes that might remind you of a glass of Cabernet. We especially love it brewed in a French Press on a chilly day; it's the kind of cup that warms you from the inside out.
Note that we do NOT roast super dark, so our roast level will not be oily or in the vein of a French or Italian roast.
