Colombia Caficauca - Certified Organic, Fairtrade

Located in the Cauca district of Colombia, Cooperativa de Caficultores del Cauca (aka Caficauca) is a coffee cooperative to be reckoned with. Established in 1961, they are now over 3,000 members strong and buy from over 40,000 small scale producers across the region. They provide support to farmers across all aspects of coffee production and have invested in programs to help farmers move away from dangerous and unstable coca production and into coffee. They also provide entrepreneurial services to young farmers to show them that there is a real future in coffee. This lot, with its rounded sweetness balanced by red fruits and citrus, is everything we love about a coffee from Colombia.
