Grown there are the coffee varieties Java, Catuai, Geisha, Typica, and Pink Bourbon, all carefully tended under ideal conditions provided by the farm and its microclimate. Volume is one thing that makes superb Bolivian coffee intrinsically special. It’s such a rare and coveted coffee in the specialty world because there just isn’t much of it to be had, period. While Peru produces some 4 million bags a year, Bolivia's output is closer to just 40,000.
